Natalia Bashkirtseva also hails from St Petersburg and graduated from the world-renowned Vaganova Ballet Academy. She has been honored with the title “Distinguished Artist of the Russian Federation” and is a Bronze Medalist of Moscow’s Petipa IBC. Partner Andre Besov also trained at the Vaganova Ballet Academy and dances for the Latvia National Opera, Vanemuine Theater Estonia and the world famous Hermitage Theater, St. Petersburg, in leading roles.
This red-headed fireball of a dancer Olesya Gapienko is a Laureate of IBC Rieti, Italy 2008. She graduated with honors from Uzbekistan’s top ballet academy and has been a soloist ever since in classic story ballets such as Paquita, Le Corsaire, Esmeralda, Don Quixote, and others.
Alexandra Elagina makes her debut as Masha in Western US and Canada in 2011. Her US debut in 2010 led to critical acclaim, “Brimful with feeling,” from the NY Times and “Exuded the essence of delicacy,” said Charleston Today. Partner Anatolie Ustimov is a Laureate of the IBC Moscow 2009 and debuted as Nutcracker Prince in 2010 also to critical acclaim. “A handsome pair of principal dancers,” states iionarts.com in DC and “Elagina and Ustimov…partnered beautifully and executed their solos with aristocratic finesse” Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Andrei Litvinov, named Ballet Master for the 2011 Tours, is an Honored Artist of the Moldova Republic. A graduate of Moscow‘s famous “Bolshoi School,” he is a Laureate of the IBC Romania 1996, the Yuri Grigorovich IBC 2000; the Danovsky IBC, and the Diagelev Prize.
